A little more about Anse Lazio
A beautiful Praslin bay with bright sand, smooth granite rocks and clear water beneath takamaka trees. Arrive early to enjoy the stillness before day-trip boats arrive.
What to expect
Anse Lazio is on the north-west tip of Praslin in the Seychelles. Large granite rocks frame the bay at both ends, and takamaka trees give shade along the soft white sand. The water is usually calm and very clear.
Getting there
Praslin has a small airport with flights from Mahé, and ferries arrive in Baie Sainte Anne. Anse Lazio is about 20–30 minutes by car or bus from the main villages.
Good to know
Swim and snorkel near the rocks on calm days. Two beachside restaurants serve lunch, but they can be expensive. Combine your visit with the Vallée de Mai, home of the famous coco de mer palm.
