YOUR NOA BEACH GUIDE
A little more about Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon
A calm, vivid lagoon beneath the forested slopes of Babadağ, beside the wider Belcekız shore. Swimming, boat trips and paragliding make this one of Turkey's most iconic coastal landscapes.
What to expect
Ölüdeniz is a small resort near Fethiye on Turkey's south-west coast. Its famous Blue Lagoon is a calm, sheltered inlet with a sandy spit, while the main Belcekız beach faces the open sea. Mount Babadağ rises steeply behind, and colourful paragliders often float overhead.
Getting there
Dalaman Airport is about an hour away by road. Regular minibuses connect Ölüdeniz with Fethiye, which is around 25 minutes away.
Good to know
The lagoon is part of a protected nature park, and an entry fee applies. Tandem paragliding flights from Babadağ are a popular experience. Boat trips leave daily for nearby bays, including Butterfly Valley.
